mom audition.

today my mom auditioned to be tom mcnutt's apprentice for the day.

there were 49 that applied, and 10 who got called back.

half were male, and half were female. 

my mom did awesome.

i may be biased but she did a great job presenting and answered her questions correctly!

{they had everyone share for a minute and a half about themselves/a garden tip and then they asked everyone 3 different questions to see how you answer on the spot}

she was one of 3 who had props, but she was the only one who used her props.

we knew one guy from granville there {frits} and he did well, too.

i'm really hoping she wins this.

she does so much for everyone else and works so hard.

this would be a dream come true!

{and honestly, as we were discussing the other people, it is all kin of a blur for both of us!  don't know why, but it is hard to recall some of the people and how they were}.

then we went to the hospital to visit my grandpa.

he has been in and out the last couple of weeks with chest pain.

they are going to do another stent tomorrow and hopefully that fixes the problem.

please pray that he recovers well and is back to normal life.

they are both getting old so it worries me.

and they just announced they are selling their timeshares, as well as in the process of getting ready to sell their house.

for me, this brings a new reality to the fact that they aren't going to live forever.

and i need to really consider the amount of time i spend with them.

and as we were leaving, my grandpa says: 

'i am so proud of you'

i almost started crying.  those words mean so so much to me.

it's as if all these years of stress and overwhelming school make it so so worth it.

i am so proud of my mom!

 but today wore.me.out.

we got home and i took a 3 hr nap.

i have been up for 3 hours and i'm pretty sure i'll be calling it a night soon!
